This is it. Our last week. Hopefully.
I thought I would be able to do more stuff and write more posts for this blog, but somehow, it just didn't happened.
Anyway, it's been a fun year and I really aprishiated this class. It is really awesome, that at the beginning of our time on faculty, we learn how to use computer programs that are nowadays essential in life of an architect.
And my thoughts while writing this post? Will words from Closing post come true.Wondering...

For this week's assignment we had to collect all of our work and make an outline for our final presentation.

I have no idea what to do. I have no will what so ever. Hope it will get better. It has to.

This week we had to make our floor plans more interesting. Anyway, yellow- public spaces; orangish- service.

Problem: Had bad photos from location. Wanted to take photos again. Couldn't. There was a Circus on my location. Bollocks.

There was a time for a little break since last post and after two weeks we are back!

This time we had to place lights into our scenes with textured model and make some renders. + Watch a movie.

"So DMP, we meet again."


This week we needed to improve our 3D model. It would be easy, if Max was ready to help. Instead he decided he's going to be a jerk about it.

The other side of the screen #1

Well, I'm bored...no, wait. I was!

I spent decent amount of time online and I asked myself why not make something good of that time. In that time of being online and surfing I often wander to architecture related sites, blogs, forums etc., so I decided to try making weekly blog posts with interesting links to cool stuff on internet.

One of the first assignments at 'Seminar' with professor Gabrijelčič, was to modernize an old floor plan. Everyone in the group made his own story about the family and its needs and then proceeded with modernizing of the house.

It's week 7. Week dedicated to 3ds Max. Assignment for this week was to present your model with 3D modeling tool with simple objects. Objects that you can find under 'Standard primitives' section in 3ds Max.

Because I used the same method for previous assignment as Klemen, I only had to import 3D model from AutoCad Architecture to 3ds Max.

What is reality

If you would searched 'reality' on Wikipedia, you would get something like this: 

"In philosophy, reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined.".

So what does it all mean?

It's thursday and I'm writing my post. Two days before the first deadline. What's wrong with me...
Anyway, this week's assignment  was to do remaining floor plans, cross sections and elevations.

After I did previous assignment in matters of seconds, and result was appropriate to the seconds spent on that, I said I'll try to do better job next time. Next time is now. Oh, and I must not forget constant nagging from Anže..."How did you do that? Why? Make it better."
I noticed that Klemen  used AutoCAD Architecture to do his work, so I Google'd a litlle about ACA, watched few videos and decided to download it, install it and give it a try.
I also did those floor plans,  cross sections and elevations again, that were part of the previous assignment.

You know that feeling when you don't know what to write and you just stair at the monitor...well, I don't have it.

Assignment for this week was to make floor plan, cross section and facade. Well, here goes nothing...

This week lectures was about computer hardware and professor showed us few basic parts of computers. 

He also mentioned motherboard and because I had presentation on that topic in High school, I figured I would share it for those interested in knowing more about it.

So there it is. The time to say goodbye. It's hot outside and few days ago I passed Digital methods and presentations (DMP). *Cha-ching!*
